Gourmet Club Sandwich

Gourmet Club Sandwich

From the simple sandwich, made of two slices of bread smeared with butter, among which was a cold food (cheese, ham, salami ...) that people ate on the run, holding it in one hand, in time with the other they continued their activity, they arrived at large, rich and consistent sandwiches, which can only be eaten on a plate and with cutlery. Sandwiches that can be prepared at home, very easily, that will satisfy those who like to eat and that will replace Mc Donald's dishes, for which some have a certain restraint. At the same time, it is an undeniable offer for children, who like such menus.
"Sandwich Club Gourmet" is for connoisseurs of food ("gourmet"!), But also for eater. It can be prepared with: buns, slices of toast, bars, pieces of baguettes ..., fried or not. There is no single recipe for this type of sandwich, and the ingredients differ depending on both those who prepare it and the customers. He must be consistent, with many or all, to satisfy hunger and be tasty.
I often made this kind of sandwich, and now I took advantage of the fact that I still had some mayonnaise in the fridge, from another dish, to replace the butter and eggs.

These caprese grilled cheese sandwiches are a delicious comfort-food classic that the whole family will love.

The tomato jam makes this sandwich: Its honey and vinegar give it sweetness and bite!

Our 50 Best Sandwiches from Around the World

From the New Orleans oyster loaf to Vietnam’s banh mi, our best sandwich recipes showcase a world of innovation between two slices of bread.

Todd Coleman

The best sandwiches don't happen by accident: You've got to balance moisture and crunch, weigh condiments against main components, choose bread that will make each element shine, then construct it all so that every bite delivers something far greater than the sum of its parts.

Whether stuffed with meat, eggs, cheese, or vegetables, the sandwich transcends borders, uniting cultures, peoples, and cuisines. Take, for example, Cuba’s midnight sandwich with roast pork, ham, and Swiss cheese on a sweet egg loaf, and Vietnam’s banh mi with Chinese-style barbecue pork, fresh cucumbers, and mayo on French bread. The South’s pimento cheese, and Turkey’s kumru, a briny grilled cheese with sucuk sausage, spicy pickles, and tomatoes on a sesame roll. The world’s best sandwiches have much in common.

Chief among their shared traits? Ease. Even the most “gourmet” sandwiches remain grab-and-go food, and infinitely adaptable. Need a few new ideas for sandwiches? We’ve sliced our list of favorites down to the 50 essential sandwich recipes to try now. Feel free to follow the rules, or break them as your preference, pocketbook, and pantry allow. The Sandwich Battle, five story sandwiches

Here was The Sandwich Battle, a beautiful challenge launched by Cris-Tim, which was attended by five important bloggers from Romania, along with a teammate chosen from the readers of the blog. My congratulations also go to Impressum, who imagined this beautiful and interactive campaign and orchestrated it perfectly.

The sandwich recipe competition on my blog took place during the last calendar month and had Claudia Vasilache as the winner, who proposed the sandwich recipe that I found most tempting.

The grand final took place in Bucharest, at the Iconic Food Wine & ampDesign restaurant by Camelia Șucu. We showed up at the place set for September 10, early in the morning, Oana Igrețiu and Cezar Stanislau (savoriurbane.com) Florin Itu and Melinda Teohari (Crazy Mother Cooker), Cristina Toth and Isabela Dobrin (divainbucatarie.ro), Teodora Rogobete and Corina Apostu (teoskitchen.ro) and I with Claudia.

Each of the participants imagined their own sandwich recipe, meant to impress the jurors and tried to put it into practice as best they could: my team and that of Savorilor Urbane made their own bread, the Crazy Mother team Cooker made dozens of eggs (quail eggs) with which they garnished their gourmet sandwich, in the end, they all gave their best in the two and a half hours we had available.

However, I also had time for pictures, here I am with my teammate Claudia together with the rival team formed by Oana and Cezar.

I am convinced that more than anything else, you are interested in sandwich recipes, so I have recorded them for you and I will reveal them to you:

My and Claudia's sandwich was called Not So Guitly Pleasure, we imagined it light, light, with a touch of propriety, being intended primarily for ladies but also for gentlemen who prefer lighter snacks. I used the raw-dried Napoli salami from Cris-Tim, 25 grams / portion. Like bread, I used mini baguettes made by us, starting from my recipe for soft buns from which I made double the amount and divided the dough into forty portions of 55 grams each.

& # 8230then I rolled each ball formed at the first shaping, into the baguettes, the final shape of my loaves.

Meanwhile, Claudia, with whom I worked in a perfect team, chopped, grated and chopped the ingredients for the fresh-tasting salad that we included in our sandwich: sour apples, sprinkled with lemon juice, to prevent oxidation, carrots, celery celery and mango.

Our sandwich was based on a cream of butter and spicy gorgonzola (2 parts butter and 1 part gorgonzola), to which we added lemon peel, salt and pepper. I tied the salad with a dressing made of 3-4 tablespoons of hard boiled egg yolk mayonnaise (click on the link for the recipe), mixed with Greek yogurt and lemon. I also added spicy arugula and baby spinach and, for texture, roasted walnut kernels.

A group photo with the team and & # 8230 at the tasting! Despite the fact that many ladies congratulated us for the taste of our sandwich and asked us for the recipe, the gentlemen of the jury were not too impressed by our performance. :)) So many bathrooms, I assure you that the sandwich is very tasty and worth trying.

Thanks to those from super-hrana.ro who recorded everything that happened at the event, I am able to describe the other sandwiches:

Blogger Florin Ițu and teammate Melinda Teohari they prepared a sandwich with Chorizo salami from Cris-Tim and smoked paprika, with which they won 1st place in the competition.

"Our sandwich is called Club 99. We created a sandwich using a ciabatta bread with mayonnaise. The spices I used are: oregano, thyme, parsley, baked garlic, caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes and smoked paprika. The sandwich is complemented by Sriracha sauce, goat cheese and pickles. I fried the Chorizo salami to make it crispy. On top of the sandwich I made a quail egg eye and sprinkled the smoked paprika. This sandwich is ideal for those who lead an active life, providing all the nutrients you need to cope with tiring days. We hope you like our recipe ", said the two teammates who devised this unique recipe.

2. Italian sandwich brand "Diva in the kitchen" Blogger Cristina Toth, along with her trusted helper, Isabela Dobrin, reinterpreted an Italian sandwich, using Cris-Tim's raw-dried Napoli salami.

"I made an Italian sandwich that I ate right in Rome, a sandwich that I really liked and I thought of making it at home, but I thought of changing something about it. and I added something extra: tomato jam. I made the sandwich in a black baguette, and the ingredients used are very simple. For this sandwich I used Napoli salami, arugula, tomatoes, Gorgonzola cheese and tomato jam. Seemingly simple, but with an extremely pleasant taste. An easy and delicious sandwich ”, Cristina Toth told us about the sandwich she made, inspired by an Italian recipe.

3. Teo`s Kitchen Paella Sandwich & # 8211 winner of the award 3. Blogger Teo Rogobete together with his teammate, Corina Apostu, thought of making a reinterpretation of the Spanish preparation Paella in a sensational sandwich with Chorizo from Cris-Tim.

"Corina was the one who proposed me a very nice sandwich, which I couldn't resist. We tried to integrate Paella ingredients into a sandwich. I didn't know how I could integrate the salami into my sandwich, especially since I eat only empty salami, with nothing else. My favorite from the Cris-Tim range is the raw-dried Chorizo salami, and in terms of food, I love Paella and I told myself to make it in such a way as to turn Paella into a sandwich using Cris-Tim salami. For this sandwich we used: a kapia pepper, an onion, a medium carrot, a few pods, two cloves of garlic, Chorizo salami, a few shrimps, smoked paprika, salt, saffron powder, Piri Piri sauce, chicken soup, a baguette, lemon juice and olive oil. We tried to give you the image of a small party, we even made fresh Sangria that goes great with our sandwich and some tortilla chips we bought. ”, Teo showed us that you can make a sandwich with the ingredients you have. you normally use it for Paella.

5. Cris Adriatico Sandwich brand "Urban Flavors" & # 8211 winner of the 2nd prize. Blogger Oana Igrețiu together with her help Cezar tried to make a sandwich, which would be a special combination between Mediterranean flavors and raw-dried salami produced by Cris-Tim.

"Caesar proposed to me the most appetizing sandwich of all my readers' proposals. Together we developed a sandwich recipe and gave it a name "Cris Adriatico", Cris from Cris-Tim and Adriatico from the Mediterranean flavors we used for this sandwich. Bread is a Turkish pita, made from scratch and baked by us. In order, the first layer is butter cream with anchovies, lightly salted, exactly as needed, followed by baby spinach, slices of Cris-Tim Sinaia salami, tomatoes, lettuce. The sauce that ennobles this sandwich is a sauce made by us from peppers baked with garlic. The lids of the buns were au gratin with slices of gouda cheese ", Oana Igrețiu told us about the ingredients she used in the" Cris Adriatico "sandwich.

This was The Sandwich Battle, I hope to have the chance to participate in such a successful event soon.
